Silver Lake Road Construction Updates

Please be advised that Silver Lake Beach will be closed for the season beginning August 11 to accommodate the Silver Lake Road reconstruction project. *****UPDATE Friday 9-12-25 the contractor is starting gravel behind the curb for sidewalk with plans to finish the sidewalk gravel on Monday 9-15-25. During this activity one lane will be used for equipment to place the gravel and there will be little to no disruption to traffic, T-dock or neighborhood access expected. Thursday 9-18-25, Friday 9-19-25, Monday 9-22-25, and Tuesday 9-23-25 the contractor’s plan is to pour the sidewalk. During pouring of the sidewalk one lane will be used to allow trucks to discharge into forms. The second lane will be open, however, while trucks are discharging into the forms, short intermittent delays to traffic may occur. It would be recommended that those accessing the T-docks, neighborhood, and east of the Beach allow for extra time in their commutes to account for short delays during pouring operations. During this activity one lane will be used for equipment to place the gravel and there will be little to no disruption to traffic, T-dock or neighborhood access expected. It would be recommended that those accessing the T-docks, neighborhood, and east of the Beach allow for extra time in their commutes to account for short delays while trucks are dumping and gravel is being spread one lane and truck at a time. Friday 9-26-25 The contractor plans to pave the first layer of asphalt. During paving operations a plethora of equipment will be on site to place and roll the asphalt one lane at a time.
