Silver Lake Road Construction Updates

Please be advised that Silver Lake Beach will be closed for the season beginning August 11 to accommodate the Silver Lake Road reconstruction project. *****UPDATE: Wednesday, Aug. 27 – Contractor will continue excavation and gravel placement from Bond Street to the alley between Hirzel and N. Dyer Streets. First gravel layer is expected to be complete by end of day. Access: Residents and visitors to the T-docks should use Silver Lake Road via Town and Bond Street. Homes/cabins east of the beach should continue to use the Dollar Lake Road detour. Thursday, Aug. 28 – Gravel placement will continue from the alley between Hirzel and N. Dyer to just east of N. Dyer Street. Access: Same as above – Silver Lake Road for T-docks and neighborhood, Dollar Lake Road for east of beach access. Thursday–Friday, Aug. 28–29 – Once the first gravel layer is complete and passable, crews will return to place a second layer (one lane at a time) to strengthen the base and maintain access.
