Silver Lake Road Construction Updates

Please be advised that Silver Lake Beach will be closed for the season beginning August 11 to accommodate the Silver Lake Road reconstruction project. *****UPDATE Monday 10-6-25 The contractor has no planned activity today. There will be no disruption to traffic, t-dock or neighborhood access. Tuesday 10-7-25 Anticipated paving of driveways and final surface layer of asphalt. During paving operations a plethora of equipment will be on site to place and roll the asphalt one lane at a time. It would be recommended that those accessing the T-Docks, neighborhood, and east of the Beach utilize the Dollar Lake Road detour and allow extra time in the commutes on this day. Wednesday 10-8-25 The contractor has no planned activity on Silver Lake Road today. There will be no disruption to traffic, t-dock or neighborhood access. Thursday 10-9-25 The contractor plans to place gravel shoulder on the north side of Silver Lake Road. During this activity one lane will be used for equipment to place the gravel and there will be little to no disruption to traffic, T-dock or neighborhood access expected. It would be recommended that those accessing the T-docks, neighborhood, and east of the Beach allow for extra time in their commutes to account for short delays while trucks are dumping and gravel is being placed. Friday 10-10-25 the contractor will likely continue placing topsoil, and working on turf restoration on the north side of Silver Lake Road. During this activity one lane will be used for the equipment placing topsoil. There will be little to no disruption to traffic, T-dock or neighborhood access expected. Week of 10-13-25 Contractor is planning for pavement markings early in the week, along with installation of the fence. During pavement marking operations, short interruptions are expected. It would be recommended that those accessing the T-docks, neighborhood, and east of the Beach allow for extra time in their commutes to account for short delays while trucks are dumping and gravel is being placed. During fence installation one lane will be used for materials on a trailer as the fence is being installed. There will be little to no disruption to traffic, T-dock or neighborhood access expected.
