Eagle River is a small town of locals who welcome new “locals” to our community every day. Our City is made up of newcomers and old timers alike who bond over their love of the great outdoors, rural living and a slower pace of life in a safe community where they actually get to know their neighbors. It’s home to people who enjoy playing in the same place they work. The City of Eagle River has a history of life-long employees. People who have worked here for decades and keep their jobs not because they have to, but because they want to, and because they have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community they love every day. Yes, the City offers generous benefits and competitive pay for our area, flexibility and a personal connection from the Mayor on down, but the reason people come to work here, and stay here, is the chance to make a difference in the City they love. We will be looking for new additions to our Public Works, Utility and Police departments in the next few years, and we look forward to welcoming new locals to our little slice of heaven in the Northwoods.
