We are pleased to present this year’s Annual Water Quality Report. This report is intended to inform you about the quality water and services we deliver to you every day. Our job is to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water, and we want you to understand our ongoing efforts to improve the quality and protection of the water resources we provide.
Drinking water for the City of Eagle River comes from three ground source wells with an average depth of 102 feet. The constituents of your drinking water are routinely monitored in accordance with federal and state laws. The table below shows results of our water quality monitoring for the period of January 1st through December 31st, 2021. Bacteriological samples are taken twice per month; all others are taken once per year.
Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) shown in the table are set at very stringent levels. To understand the possible health effects described for many regulated constituents, a person would have to drink two liters of water every day at the MCL level for a lifetime to have a one-in-a-million chance of having the described health effect. We are proud to provide drinking water that meets or exceeds federal and state standards, and through our monitoring and compliance efforts, will continue our commitment to provide high quality, SAFE drinking water.
We hope that you find this information useful, and do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns you may have about your drinking water.
